Very knowledgable and informitive through out the project.  Our recent project had some challenging schedules with rain, additional contractors and home owners.  Springfield able to accomodate our scheduling and product needs made this project a smooth experience.  Both crews sent out were fun, and very professional  all crew members knew exactly what to do and how to do it, very impressed with the efficiency of the installers.  Highly recommend this group!!! Nick was amazing he was able to get me into their busy schedule within a week. They walked me through the process, answered all of my questions and provided a detailed report for my insurance company. My roof was fine and his honest review earned my business in the future! Highly recommend to anyone in need of roofing services!

 Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I am the Pastor at Mayfield Chapel in Mayfield. In November, we asked Springfield for some help with our longtime leaking bell tower. They were able to come quickly to check out the issue and provide an estimate. Once we choose to proceed, Springfield was able to get us right on the schedule. This was not an easy fix but they were able to do all they said and kept it under the estimate. I am very pleased with the results... No more water leaking into the foyer of the chapel and now we are more confident on the strength of the supporting structures.

Nick Jacqmain

CEO/President

Nick joined the Springfield team in the fall of 2009 as one of our project managers and was promoted to CEO in January of 2018. Nick works closely with the management team and oversees daily operations. Nick graduated from Central Michigan University in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Sports Management. He is originally from Freeland, MI and enjoys hunting in the U.P. with family and friends. Nick and his wife Audrey live in the Traverse City area with their kids, William, Henry, and Penelope.

Matt joined the Springfield team in 2011. He works diligently to schedule projects and day-to-day tasks for our employees. Originally from Rockford, MI, Matt majored in Business Administration and minored in Marketing and Sales at Ferris State University. Since working at Springfield, Matt has received training and certification from the National Association of Safety Professionals (NASP), and has become certified in Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) systems, and in LEAN Management. In his spare time, Matt enjoys all kinds of outdoor sports, but especially hunting, fishing and boating.

Safety & Business Development Manager

Josh has been a member of the Springfield team since 2013, and is a lifelong resident of Kingsley. As safety director, he oversees all aspects of Springfield’s safety initiative. MIOSHA 10hr and MTI Level 1 certified, Josh leads our monthly safety meetings, monitors our crews at job sites and is the foreman on all of our SmartAnchor™ installations. Josh spends his spare time enjoying his family, hunting and fixing things.

JOE GRAHAM

Field Manager

Joe has been a member of the Springfield team since 2008. As a field manager, Joe is responsible for running a job with superb quality and integrity. Making sure the job is done in a timely fashion and that is held to the highest of quality standards. Joe must also teach his crew and other employees how to do their specific jobs and various tricks of the trade. Another feature of this management position is being quick and efficient at solving problems and organizing a job. Joe contributes 16 years of experience in this field. He took 2nd place in the nation with the Springfield team at the National Roofing Challenge. He is certified in CPR and First Aid. Joe was born in Grand Rapids, MI and moved to northern Michigan in 1986. He has been married for 13 years and has two children. In his spare time, Joe researches new ways to perfect his technique. He also enjoys spending time with his family, off-roading, fishing, spear fishing, hunting, camping and a good challenge.

KEITH DEBARR

Crew Foreman

Keith has been with the Springfield team since March of 2008. In addition to being a roofing foreman, Keith also has his general contractor’s license and bring many years of contracting experience to our team. As a foreman, Keith is responsible for organizing and running roofing jobs as well as taking on a substantial role in safety management. Keith is a native Michigander, currently living in the South Boardman area with his wife and two daughters. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family, watching college football (Go Green!) and picking through yard sales. But if you ask Keith, he would say that, “he would rather be roofing!”

TRISTIAN CLARK

Service Foreman

Tristian joined our team the end of summer in 2016 and moved to Manton in 2020. He started with Springfield in our apprenticeship program and has successfully completed all five levels. He is one of our lead transportation drivers and holds a Class A CDL license. He also is certified in asbestos 12, CPR/First aid, and fall protection. In his spare time, you can find him outdoors fishing locally and exploring the Upper peninsula.

JOSH LYON

Crew Foreman

osh Lyon, aka “Skinny,” is a former labor foreman from Kentucky, where he handled everything from foundations to finishing touches. Born and raised in Kingsley, Michigan, Skinny returned to his roots in 2022, where he began his journey into the Springfield roofing apprenticeship program. In 2024, he was promoted to Foreman. Skinny received his CDL in late 2023 and has extensive skills in operating heavy equipment and machinery. In his free time, he enjoys being outdoors, kayaking, and working on Jeeps. Skinny love spending time with his wife, son, two stepdaughters, stepson, and four grandsons.

CONNOR VENNIX

Business Development Manager

Connor Vennix joined the Springfield team in September of 2024 as Business Development Manager. Connor lives in Big Rapids, MI with his wife, and dog, Skye. He played baseball at Glen Oaks Community College and got his associate's degree in general studies. In his spare time, Connor loves to hunt, fish, go on trips with his wife, and hang out with his friends and two brothers.

TREVON COLE

Senior Estimator/Project Manager

Trevon joined the Springfield team in 2013 and has 20+ years construction experience along with 7+ years of commercial roofing experience. Trevon oversees all of the estimating, and is involved with managing fall protection projects, and procuring materials. Trevon lives in the Fife Lake area with his wife, Jessica, and their four children. The Cole family enjoys many outdoor activities including mountain biking, traveling, and cross-country skiing racing.

Nick has been with the Springfield team since July of 2007. He has eight years of experience and took 2nd place with the Springfield team at the National Roofers Challenge in 2013. As the service tech/crew foreman, Nick must repair leaks and damage on worn roofs, train new employees and install new roofing systems. Nick is also CPR and First Aid certified. When Nick is not working, he enjoys fishing, snowboarding and spending time with his family.
